How to plot functions
Enter any function of x using standard notation: x^2 for powers, sqrt(x), sin(x), cos(x), tan(x), log(x) (base 10), ln(x), abs(x) and the constants pi and e. Add multiple functions to compare them — each gets its own color.
Scroll or use the zoom buttons to change scale, and drag to pan around the plane. The Download PNG button exports exactly what you see, ready for homework or presentations.
Reading graphs effectively
Roots are where the curve crosses the x-axis; intersections of two curves are solutions of f(x) = g(x). Vertical asymptotes appear where a function blows up — try 1/x or tan(x) and notice the breaks; the plotter deliberately splits the curve there instead of drawing false vertical lines.
